I have a dream.
Dreams turn into reality, and before you know it, you’re writing your very first blog.
.
I’m not going to lie and say I 100% know what I’m doing. I’m just an average teenager that happens to have ASD.
.
Asperger’s to be specific.
.
What is Aspergers do you ask? Aspergers syndrome is and Autism spectrum disorder and is classified as being on the high functioning end of the spectrum. The dictionary definition of Asperger’s syndrome states ‘a developmental disorder related to Autism and characterised by awkwardness in social interaction, pedantry in speech, and preoccupation in very narrow interests.’ But DON’T let a dictionary define you.
.
Because of my Asperger’, I have developed a very vivid imagination, obsessing in abnormal interests that is probably not for a boy, or someone my age in general. You rarely find someone my age getting mad over politics. But before I talk about how Aspergers or the now called “ASD” has affected me positively and negatively, I am going to tell you a little bit about me. Please get the popcorn ready.
.
I was born and raised in Townsville, Queensland, and I currently live here, I am 16 years old.
.
I am an only child who has its ups and downs. However, I come from an enormous family, and I mean ENORMOUS!!!
.
The things I love
.
I love my dog, she is so beautiful and hint, just because you own a small dog doesn’t mean they will not chew everything. The people at my school would know what I am talking about (hint) my folder.
.
Where would I like to travel?
.
Who doesn’t love travelling?………………..Me!!!!!!
.
I’m not a big traveller, my parents have tried to talk me into travel, but I just simply haven’t been interested. The only place I want to travel to is my bed to sleep for a perm holiday!
.
Don’t we all wish!!!
.
Finally, I love walking. Pacing to be exact. I call it my thinking time, it helps me organise my thoughts and at the same time it opens up my imagination to come up with great ideas like my blog.
.
Most of my ideas come to while I’m pacing around my pool or sipping on a mountain Jew. I call it my ideas drink.
.
Please leave your ideas drink in the comments section.
.
Okay time to wrap it up, but before I sign off, I want to share some advice for people who are reading this.
.
It’s never too late for a diagnosis, no matter how old you are, ASD is ASD.
.
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Meaning, God gave me the greatest gift of ASD/Asperger’s, and I have turned it into my very own blog.
.
Thank you for being on this journey with me, and joining me for my very first blog!
.
Thank you for also taking the time to read this, and for being dedicated enough to make it all the way.
.
My next blog will be up by this weekend, please message me for a sneak peek, or if you want to be surprised, fine by me.
.
Most importantly no matter how cringey you may appear to others, be YOU!
.
Be a peacock amongst all the other birds.
.
Feedback and preferences would be appreciated.
.
Signing off Isaac
